Harborside is Mack-Cali’s reimagination of Jersey City’s waterfront: a vibrant cultural district with hospitality at its core, blending premier offices, luxury living, locally inspired shopping and dining, and open public spaces for the community to enjoy.
Major capital improvements are taking place across the campus including office renovations, amenity upgrades, and public infrastructure improvements. Most dramatically, Harborside 1 is undergoing a massive renovation which includes a new, energy-efficient aluminum-composite panel and glass curtain wall, new larger, more energy-efficient windows that will allow significantly more natural light to flow into office floors, a completely reimagined ground-floor lobby with new visitor reception desk, new access control turnstiles at elevator bank entrances, and attractive, high-quality finishes, new exterior plazas and entryways, and much more.
As the integration of work and life accelerates, Harborside is perfectly positioned to benefit from new workplace trends, particularly as companies seek to respond to new talent demands for flexibility and overall well-being. By attracting a diverse mix of upscale restaurants and retailers, Mack-Cali is continuing to transform Harborside into a true destination – one that harnesses the distinctive character of Jersey City while cultivating its own unique arts, dining, and lifestyle scene.
Currently, Harborside spans 4.3 million square feet along the waterfront – which includes Class A office and retail space, all surrounded by thousands of residential units. Against the backdrop of New York City’s famed skyline, Harborside sits atop a major transportation hub, including the Exchange Place PATH station, the Harborside Light Rail station, and a NY Waterway ferry terminal, allowing for unsurpassed access between Manhattan and the greater New Jersey Gold Coast.
